A very special place that only those that grew up in our small isolated community had the please of enjoying. It provided a welcome respite from the 120°F summers.

Those summers since I can remember
We played hard, having fun until September
We'd ride our bikes down to the water
We’d fish and swim and splash the neighbor’s daughter

Long, lazy days, we had forever
A cool wind blowing in from down the river
Still hear the rustle of the palm trees
Those golden cat tails moving in the soft breeze

The best times that we had
I keep those memories and dive in
Although I can't go back
to the old swimming hole again

That sweet oasis in the desert
Endless summer, innocence forever

I jump right in and it saves my soul
